A Commercial Driving CDL Class A Driver is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles while also inspecting, maintaining, and repairing trailers and transportation equipment to ensure safe and efficient fleet operations.
Typical Duties
- 90 percent Warehouse work, 10 percent driving
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles safely and in compliance with DOT regulations
- Transport freight to designated locations on schedule.
- Warehouse and outside labor
- Secure cargo properly and verify load accuracy
- Report vehicle maintenance or safety issues
- Follow company safety procedures and traffic laws
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Ability to operate manual or automatic transmissions
- Time management and route planning skills
- Ability to lift and move freight when required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
