Patisserie Vanessa is looking for a motivated, reliable individual to join us as our Morning Porter!
This position is a full time, MORNING position, from 6:30am until 2:30pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Assist BOH and FOH in all aspects of facility maintenance including (but not limited to) bussing tables, washing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors (customer area and kitchen/production areas), deep cleaning equipment, removing waste, and receiving and storing deliveries.
- Clean and maintain workspaces, customer area and storefront throughout the shift (including sanitizing counters, food preparation areas, sweeping floors and sidewalk, mopping, emptying trash, bathrooms, dusting etc.)
- Wash, sanitize, and restock dishes, trays, baking tools, and other supplies in an organized fashion
- Set up sidewalk terrace furniture and assist with bakery opening procedures
- Handle weekly trip to off site storage space for supply replenishment
- Learn and retain standard operating procedures for all porter duties while following a timeline and cleaning project schedule.
- Follow additional tasks as instructed by managers
Skills & Requirements:
- Relevant prior experience as a porter is required
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Able to multitask
- Capacity to excel on a team or work independently.
- Able to work early mornings, holidays and weekends.
- Able to work on your feet for an 8+ hour shift and lift 50+ lbs occasionally
