Position Overview

Are you a recent college graduate with high energy, excellent communication skills, and a strong drive to make money? NAV Logistics INC is hiring 10 Entry-Level Freight Broker Trainees for our expanding Houston office.

No prior freight experience is required. We will provide comprehensive, hands-on training to teach you the U.S. logistics industry from the ground up. You will learn how to build your own book of business in a full-cycle (cradle-to-grave) brokerage modelfrom prospecting corporate shippers to sourcing carrier capacity, negotiating spot rates, and closing deals.

What You Will Learn & Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Outbound Sales & Customer Acquisition: Learn how to conduct high-volume outbound cold calls, connect with supply chain executives, and win recurring freight business (FTL, LTL, Flatbed, Drayage).
• Carrier Sourcing & Rate Negotiation: Master industry-leading load boards (DAT One, Truckstop) to source carrier capacity, negotiate spot market rates, and maximize profit margins.
• Account Ownership: Serve as the primary point of contact for your shippers, delivering quotes, market updates, and best-in-class customer support.
• Load Execution: Learn end-to-end operational executionbooking, dispatching, and tracking shipments from pickup to final delivery.
• Seamless Collaboration: Hand off finalized shipment paperwork to our dedicated back-office team for billing, invoicing, and carrier compliance so you can stay focused on selling.

Requirements (Who We Are Looking For)

• Education: Recent college graduates (associate or bachelors degree preferred) or individuals with equivalent high-volume sales/hospitality experience.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written English communication; confident phone presence and strong active listening.
• Money Motivation & Grit: High hunger for financial success, resilience when handling sales rejection, and a self-starter mindset.
• Coachability: Quick learner who takes direction well, thrives in classroom and live-floor training, and adapts quickly to new software/TMS tools.
• Reliability: Must be able to work 100% in-person on our Houston, TX sales floor.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $40,000 / year (Based on communication skills and interview performance)
• Commission: Uncapped Commission structure up to 25% based on gross margin generated
