Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and establish individualized treatment plans.
- Implement diverse therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities that support healing and functional improvement.
- Regularly track and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans based on objective feedback and reassessments.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on therapeutic exercises and the proper use of assistive devices to promote independent self-care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and collaborate on optimal treatment pathways.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, attending workshops and contributing to professional organizations.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors dealing with a wide range of diagnoses. You will have the opportunity to work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and post-operative rehabilitation, enabling you to apply your skills across a broad spectrum of care scenarios.
Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
- A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and collaborate within a team.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems for documentation and treatment tracking.
- A strong commitment to providing outstanding patient care and a nurturing approach to therapy.
Preferred Experience
- While a minimum of two years of experience is preferred, newly licensed physical therapists are encouraged to apply as we provide mentorship opportunities.
- Experience in outpatient care settings is a plus.
- Ability to develop individualized treatment modalities that cater to the specific needs of each patient.
Compensation and Benefits
Viability Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, depending on experience, along with a generous benefits package which includes:
