Pickup Center Associate

FCP Euro is seeking a reliable and motivated Pickup Center Associate to join our team. Pickup Center Associates support the efficient and accurate fulfillment of customer orders at FCP Euro’s Experience Center, with a primary focus on back-of-house operations and fulfillment. This role works closely with the Pickup Center Specialist and Distribution Center teams to ensure customer orders are picked, processed, staged, and ready for pickup in a timely manner.

Pickup Center Associates play an important role in delivering an exceptional customer experience both behind the scenes and through direct customer interaction. While the primary focus of this position is back-of-house operations, Associates may regularly assist customers with order pickups, returns, general questions, and loading parts into vehicles. Associates may also support front-of-house operations during periods of high customer volume or when additional team coverage is needed. Pickup Center Associates must be able to transition effectively between back-of-house fulfillment responsibilities and customer-facing responsibilities based on business needs.

When working directly with customers, Pickup Center Associates are expected to provide a welcoming, professional, and helpful experience consistent with FCP Euro’s customer-centric approach. Associates may assist with basic questions regarding orders, parts, returns, and the Pickup Center experience, while escalating technical, diagnostic, fitment, or complex automotive inquiries to a Pickup Center Specialist when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
Back-of-House Operations & Fulfillment

• Picks, packs, stages, and prepares customer orders accurately and efficiently for pickup.
• Ensures orders are properly organized, accounted for, and ready for customers within established fulfillment timelines.
• Prioritizes customer orders based on pickup commitments, order urgency, and operational needs.
• Supports Distribution Center picking during periods of high volume, when team capacity allows, or when customer priority requires additional support.
• Assists with must-go, aged, and other time-sensitive orders.
• Receives, sorts, stocks, and replenishes inventory as needed.
• Maintains organized product locations, racks, shelves, staging areas, and pickup lockers.
• Processes inventory movements, transfers, returns, and other inventory-related activities accurately.
• Completes inventory and locker audits and assists with identifying and reconciling inventory discrepancies.
• Ensures customer orders are placed in the correct locker or staging location.
• Communicates inventory, fulfillment, or operational issues that may impact customer orders or pickup experiences.

Customer Experience & Front-of-House Support

• Assists customers with order pickups by locating and verifying orders and helping load parts into vehicles as needed.
• Provides friendly and professional support to customers with basic questions regarding orders, returns, parts, and the Pickup Center experience.
• Assists customers with returns and other general Pickup Center needs while following established processes and workflows.
• Supports the Pickup Center Specialist with customer inquiries and front-of-house responsibilities during periods of high customer volume.
• Provides customers with clear and helpful information regarding their order status and next steps.
• Maintains a welcoming and professional presence when interacting with customers.
• Recognizes when a customer inquiry requires additional technical or automotive expertise and escalates the interaction to a Pickup Center Specialist when appropriate.
• Supports the Pickup Center Specialist with customer needs while maintaining responsibility for assigned back-of-house priorities.
• May assist with basic product or order-related questions but is not expected to independently provide advanced diagnostic, fitment, or technical recommendations.

Performance & Operational Excellence

• Delivers on the performance, pace, and fulfillment standards established by Pickup Center leadership.
• Understands and consistently follows processes, KPIs, and targets associated with assigned responsibilities.
• Works efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Identifies opportunities to improve fulfillment, inventory, staging, and customer pickup processes.
• Communicates ideas and recommendations that may improve individual and team performance.
• Demonstrates the ability to pivot between operational and customer-facing responsibilities based on business needs.
• Works effectively with the Pickup Center Specialist, Distribution Center, and other FCP Euro teams to support overall business priorities.

Accuracy & Inventory Control

• Maintains individual accuracy standards established by Pickup Center leadership.
• Verifies products, quantities, and order information during the picking, packing, and staging process.
• Maintains customer and inventory accuracy throughout all assigned processes.
• Completes inventory audits and assists with resolving discrepancies.
• Ensures inventory is returned to the correct location after use.
• Maintains accurate pickup locker and staging information.
• Identifies and communicates order or inventory errors promptly to leadership.

Safety, Organization & Cleanliness

• Maintains clean, organized, and safe back-of-house and customer-facing work areas.
• Keeps pickup staging areas organized and ensures customer orders remain clearly accounted for.
• Clears packaging materials, corrugate, trash, and other operational debris throughout the shift.
• Maintains organization of inventory locations, racks, shelves, lockers, and storage areas.
• Uses proper tools and equipment and follows all FCP Euro safety standards.
• Utilizes proper lifting, picking, and material-handling techniques.
• Supports general upkeep of the Pickup Center and ensures the facility is prepared for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, fulfillment, automotive parts, retail, customer service, or similar environment is preferred.
• Passion for European vehicles and an interest in the automotive industry is preferred.
• Customer service experience with the ability to provide a friendly, professional, and helpful customer experience.
• Must be organized and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both customers and team members.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple operational and customer-facing responsibilities throughout a shift.
• Proficiency with computers and comfort using technology and digital tools.
• Ability to learn and utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other FCP Euro operational systems.
• Ability to pivot between different operational and customer-facing responsibilities during a single shift.
• Ability to recognize when customer questions require additional technical expertise and appropriately escalate to a Pickup Center Specialist.
• Ability to lift 60+ pounds as necessary.
• Ability to use a pallet jack and other material-handling equipment.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Prior experience working as part of a team environment.

Compensation

• $20+/ hr based on experience and qualifications. 
• Quarterly bonus opportunity of up to $750
