Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patients with moderate to high acuity
• Monitor and assess patients with cardiac, respiratory, and complex medical conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies per physician orders
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation while ensuring patient safety and quality care

Position Requirements

• Role: Registered Nurse (PCU)
• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience
  • Minimum 2 years of total RN experience
• Certifications:
  • Active Virginia RN License
  • BLS (AHA required)
  • ACLS (AHA required)

Assignment Details

• Location: Norfolk, VA and surrounding areas
• Schedule: Per Diem
• Shift Options:
  • 12-hour Day Shifts (AM)
  • 12-hour Night Shifts (PM)
