Classroom Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Classroom Aide to support our teachers and students in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI. The Classroom Aide will assist with daily classroom activities, help maintain a positive learning environment, and provide individualized support to students as needed. Key Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom activities. Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts. Help maintain classroom order and ensure a safe, welcoming environment. Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, and transitions. Assist with record keeping, grading, and organizing classroom resources. Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents as needed. Support students with special needs or individualized education plans (IEPs) under teacher guidance. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred. Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff. Basic knowledge of classroom technology and educational tools is helpful. This position is based in a classroom setting within a school located in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI. The role involves standing, walking, and interacting with students throughout the school day.
