Surgical Tech

JOB SUMMARY Provide direct patient care and assist surgical teams during operative procedures. Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms, ensuring sterile conditions and availability of necessary instruments and equipment. Assist surgeons and nurses by handing them instruments, supplies, and medications during surgery. Maintain sterile field integrity throughout the duration of the surgical procedure. Perform anticipated and unanticipated needs of the surgical patient and surgeon. Participate in prepping and draping the surgical site. Monitor patient's condition and report any changes to the surgical team. Turn over the operating room to prepare for the next procedure. Adhere to all infection control policies and procedures. Schedule / Shift Weekend/Holiday rotation may be required. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience Previous experience as a Surgical Technician is preferred. Skills Proficient in sterile technique and surgical instrumentation. Ability to work effectively as part of a surgical team. Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills. Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
