PARTS SUPERVISOR: 1ST OR 2ND SHIFT

Overview Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C., is hiring a Parts Supervisor in Richmond, Virginia for 1st or 2nd Shift . The Parts Supervisor is responsible for planning and directing the activities of the Parts Department within the policies of Carter Machinery. Seeking candidates with previous parts management experience in the heavy construction equipment industry; previous supervisory experience is a plus; a college degree is preferred. Requirements for the Parts Supervisor position include: Thorough knowledge of equipment parts and components. Strong mechanical aptitude. Requires ability to evaluate facts and maintain good judgment when making decisions. Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands. Requires strong organizational skills. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products. Must be able to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by identifying and resolving problems promptly. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Must have an excellent driving record. Frequent travel may be required – overnight or out‑town via car or airplane. Promote a positive customer experience. Physical Requirements Physical requirements must be met for the Parts Supervisor job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
