Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fleet vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
• Complete brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain repairs
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
• Coordinate with dispatch and operations to minimize vehicle downtime
• Identify and order necessary parts and supplies to complete repairs efficiently

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a fleet technician, diesel mechanic, or automotive technician
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing light, medium, or heavy-duty vehicles
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and vehicle compliance standards
• Ability to use diagnostic software and hand/power tools effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• ASE certification(s) preferred but not required
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
