About Raise The Barr 
Raise The Barr is a two-generation (2Gen) organization co-founded in 2016 by former NFL linebacker Anthony Barr and his mother, Lori Barr. We work to increase economic mobility for single parent student families in Minnesota and California by tackling the practical and systemic barriers that make finishing college hard, including housing instability, financial strain, lack of social capital, and caregiving demands. Our programming brings together academic persistence, financial stability, and whole-family well-being so parents and children can thrive together. 

The Opportunity 
We are hiring a thoughtful, relationship-driven Whole Family Program Coordinator who values direct service, builds rapport easily, and enjoys supporting students through complex, real-life challenges within a small, collaborative team. Using a two-generation (2Gen) approach, the Coordinator provides individualized support to single-parent scholars, strengthening educational persistence and family stability while contributing to ongoing program improvement. The program Coordinator reports to the Chief Impact Officer (CIO). 

What You'll Do 
Scholar Support & Coaching (35%) 

• Provide monthly one-on-one virtual or in-person coaching to single-parent scholars focused on goal-setting, persistence, and stability. 
• Maintain a primary caseload of approximately 20 cohort scholars. 
• Offer regular in-person office hours and serve as a reliable, trusted point of contact. 
• Support scholars in identifying and accessing campus and community-based resources. 
• Guide scholars through emergency grant inquiries. 

Communication & Community Engagement (25%) 

• Establish and maintain relationships with direct service providers to address gaps in RTB's services and ensure scholars have timely access to complementary support. 
• Communicate with scholars using a trauma-informed, strength-based approach. 
• Share insights and feedback from scholars with RTB leadership to strengthen systems and support. 
• Partner with the communications team to help shape culturally responsive content that reflects scholars' experiences. 
• Serve as a local connector, building relationships with colleges and community-based resources. 
• Participate actively in weekly team meetings and staff gatherings, contributing to a collaborative and solutions-oriented culture. 
• Occasionally represent RTB by presenting program insights at conferences, partner convenings, or community forums. 

Program Delivery & Learning (15%) 

• Co-design and facilitate monthly workshops related to parenting while in school, academics, career planning, wellness, social capital, and peer connection. 
• Collaborate with the Managing Director to pilot program enhancements and respond to emerging scholar needs. 
• Incorporate scholar feedback into program improvements and shared learning. 

Data, Documentation & Reporting (15%) 

• Maintain timely, accurate case notes and records in RTB's data systems. 
• Track scholar progress and support internal learning and reporting efforts shared with grantors and college partners. 
• Prepare program summaries and insights that inform program quality, decision-making, and reporting for grantors and college partners. 

Additional Responsibilities (10%) 

• Exercise sound judgment and seek guidance when appropriate. 
• Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned. 

What You'll Bring 

• At least 2 years of experience supporting families experiencing poverty and/or working with diverse student populations, including student parents, first-generation students, or adult learners. 
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent lived or professional experience required. Background in social services, case management, advising, coaching, or a related human-centered field preferred. 
• Strong coaching, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities with empathy, flexibility, and attention to detail. 
• Ability to facilitate group discussions and workshops, with comfort speaking in front of small to medium-sized audiences. 
• Comfort using electronic databases to document services and outcomes, plus Microsoft 365 tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. 
• Preference for working independently, with comfort managing responsibilities in a remote environment while staying connected to a collaborative team.

Schedule, Location & Travel 
This is a full-time, primarily remote position working across multiple locations, with strong communication, responsiveness, and consistent on-camera engagement expected in virtual meetings.

The role includes weekly travel to Long Beach and the San Fernando Valley for in-person events, partner meetings, team gatherings, and conferences, including speaking engagements, as well as occasional evening or weekend commitments tied to scholar programming. Attendance at these key moments is a core part of the role, and candidates should be able to travel by air and car and keep current travel documents.

Compensation and Benefits 
$72,384 - $77,000, commensurate with experience. This position is also eligible for the following benefits:
