Every other weekend with weekday coverage. Department highlights We have a high level of safety with experienced staff. 24/7 pharmacist and technician coverage of a 386-bed facility managing 4 facilities (Texas Health Neighborhood Care and Wellness Emergency Department, Seay Psychiatric Hospital, Texas Health Plano Pediatric Imaging, and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital). Leadership supportive of individual and departmental education and growth. Fantastic team and ancillary department support. Here's What You Need H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required 6 Months experience in a Texas Health hospital pharmacy is required RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire is required And IV Certification Upon Hire is strongly preferred Proficiency in written and verbal English language, computers, the ability to adapt to various software systems, and basic math including conversions, proportions, ratios, and algebra. The ability to work alone, and as part of a team. Ability to communicate and respond verbally and in writing to or for patients, family members and staff members What You Will Do Functionality requiring additional competency above Tech I, may require less supervision than a Tech I Autonomous responsibility either with record keeping or as a single point of contact outside the department Advanced technology expertise and ownership Delegated functions of pharmacy leadership (manager or lead technicians) Timely and accurate preparation, delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so, varies by location. Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and patient safety standards, programs and initiatives. Ongoing professional development and growth, leads by example, perpetuates accountability, manages own time.
