Senior Behavioral Health TherapistShady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Senior Behavioral Health Therapist for our Behavioral Health Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. Qualified candidates will be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus. (Current AHC employees not eligible – see below under additional details.)As a Senior Behavioral Health Therapist you will:Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality therapeutic care that is appropriate to the age, diagnoses, developmental state, and mental status of the clients that are assigned to their specific unit/departmentInitiates and implements complete, comprehensive psychosocial assessmentsProvides individual, group, and family therapies to clients and their familiesParticipates in and interdisciplinary treatment team to propose and develop strategies and interventions that would promote excellent therapeutic outcomesAssists clients in their development of self-respect, dignity, integrity, and self-actualization through a multitude of traditional and adjunctive therapeutic servicesDocuments services provided and disseminates information/reports to community referral sources and agencies, i.e., DJS, DSS, HHS, APS, CPS, LCC, etc.Co-Ordinates with the interdisciplinary team, referral sources, and community resources aftercare and supportive services to ensure a successful discharge planning processDemonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to diffuse psychotic and/or behavioral crises to ensure client, unit, and staff safety and stabilityAssesses and intervenes in cases of suspected/disclosed child/adult neglect/abuse issuesPromotes positive patient-family-community relationsSupervise interns psychotherapeutic treatment of patients and their families including individual therapy, parent collateral work, family therapy, couples therapy, and group therapy.Monitors progress of patients in treatment and formally reviews treatment plan and goals regularly.Supervises interns consultation with other professionals working with the client to assure coordinated and comprehensive service delivery.Supervises interns documentation, including maintenance of charts in a complete, timely and legible form, including parent information forms, consent forms, data collection forms, progress notes, and treatment plans and goals as required by state DHMHQualifications Include:Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program required.Minimum of 2 years of clinical social work experience, preferably in medical or behavioral health settings.Current licensure as LCSW-C, LCPC, or equivalent.Proficiency in conducting substance use assessments with ASAM criteria.Experience facilitating group therapy with adults and/or adolescents preferred.Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and interdisciplinary collaborationActive American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification requiredWork Schedule:Employment Type: Full-timeHours per Week: 40 hrs/weekTypical Daily Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pmShift Type: Day ShiftWeekend Requirements: Weekend rotation requirementShift Differential Eligible: Yes$10,000 sign-on bonus over 3 installments (paid at 90 days, 1 year & 2 years of hire date) *Current AHC employees are not eligible for a sign-on bonus who are transferring from one entity to another and/or transferring within their entity.
