Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,162–$2,237 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 8 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour nights Start date: 08/24/2026 Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital, Med Surg EPIC experience required Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on the Med Surg unit, following the nursing process Assess patient status, develop and implement care plans, administer medications and treatments, and monitor outcomes Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth transitions Document interventions and patient responses in the EPIC electronic medical record Deliver patient and family education and contribute to discharge planning Maintain patient safety, infection control, and pain management; adjust care as patients’ conditions evolve Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required at time of hire Demonstrated competency in dysrhythmia recognition during Orientation (for all departments except Obstetrics and NICU) IV Sedation competency within 6 months of hire Perinatal requirements may apply if assignment includes Labor & Delivery or NICU: Neonatal Resuscitation within 6 months, and related fetal monitoring competencies as applicable Education: BSN preferred; Acute care facility experience preferred Minimum of two years of recent nursing experience in the field Ability to work the listed shift and in a short-term travel assignment Benefits and Support Dedicated staffing team support and credentialing assistance 24/7 recruiter and travel support throughout the assignment Credentialing, onboarding, and transition support Extension opportunities on eligible assignments Ongoing career placement and support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC About Healthforce Healthforce is a nationwide travel healthcare staffing agency connecting travel nurses and allied health professionals with high-quality contract assignments across the United States.
