Progressive Care Nurse Manager
Title: Progressive Care Nurse Manager - Hendersonville, NC (commutable to Asheville) Pay: $95,000 - $120,000 per year depending on experience Schedule: Full-time, Days, No Weekends, Admin hours Sign-On and Relocation: Case by case
Overview Guide a high-performing Progressive Care unit at a major regional hospital in the Asheville area. Partner with interdisciplinary leaders to optimize outcomes, experience, and efficiency.
Primary Duties
- Own day-to-day operations, quality, safety, and patient experience for a 40-bed unit
- Hire, mentor, evaluate, and advance clinical staff; foster engagement and retention
- Plan staffing and budgets; meet productivity and throughput targets
- Standardize evidence-based care and readiness for surveys and audits
- Track, analyze, and act on unit KPIs and benchmarking data
Required Background
- BSN or equivalent pathway; MSN preferred
- RN license (NC or eNLC) and BLS
- National certification within 1 year of hire (leadership or specialty)
- Minimum 5 years recent nursing experience; 2+ years relevant hospital background
- Demonstrated leadership in stepdown or progressive care preferred
