Our manufacturing operation supports metal stamping, welding and mechanical assembly.Essential Job FunctionsAct as a liaison between customers and production to ensure the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between or within departmentsPlanning, preparing, issuing, and controlling production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirementsForecasting production and customer demandsDealing with unique circumstances and special requestsProblem solving in regards to shipping errors, material shortage, new project launches, and cancellation of ordersAnalyzing inventory usage, scrap, and shrinkageDevelop long-term goals and strategies to meet business objectives for HoshinExecute decisions based on business conditions in congruence with corporate visionGather and analyze information from work sites to identify root causes in resolving business issuesEmploy 8-Step Problem Solving to resolve problems for continual improvementDirect and assign work schedules, assignments, tasks, and dutiesTrain and develop employees to perform job duties according to company procedures and policies for safety and accuracyPrepare departmental reports and present them to executive managementCollaborate with other Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, and team members in sharing information to address business needsDevelop and implement standard work instructionsOther Job FunctionsComply with FIC's Safety policies and proceduresComply with TS 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standardsPerform 5-S activitiesRequirementsERP experience required and implementation experience a plusExperience working within Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier8+ years of experience in production or inventory control is preferredMinimum of 2+ years in a management roleBachelor's Degree preferredPrior manufacturing industry experienceKnowledgeable in Shipping, Receiving, Order Selection, and LogisticsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office/ERPStrong experience in production planning & schedulingExperience in managing both internal & external supply chainStrong project management, process development, and customer relations skill setsMust be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends on an as needed basisISO/TS knowledge is preferredPay Range $110,000 - $130,000 yearly based on qualifications and experienceBenefits OfferedMedical plans offered through Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Delta Dental, and VSP VisionFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Healthcare FSA, Dependent Care FSA, and Transit FSA401(k) – Company will match 50% of the first 6% you contribute to your 401(k)Basic Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability paid by employerOptional Supplemental Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability (Employee Paid)Vacation, Holiday, and Personal Days PaidAbout FIC America Corp.Established in 1994 by Futaba Industrial Co., Ltd., we have been in Carol Stream, IL from the beginning and added an additional facility in Bloomingdale, IL.
