STRUCTURES TECHNICIAN

Structures TechnicianHQ Aero is currently recruiting for Structures Technicians in Tucson, AZ. Responsibilities include:Remove / install aircraft components as required.Fabricate and or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts.Perform minor structural repairs on composite components either attached or detached.Assist in conducting hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures and aircraft component repair.Assist with complex structural repairs either on or off aircraft.Perform mechanical / electrical removals and installations as required.Inspect confined areas of airframe and assist in providing time estimates as required.Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions.Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:Minimum of 5-8 years of structural sheet metal repair / modification experience or sustained similar experience in an MRO / Heavy Maintenance environment.FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) or Airframe (A) License is required.CRJ airframe experience is required.Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience preferred.If former military, those with military aircraft maintenance experience such as depot / Isochronal / Phase inspections a plus.Standard Aviation Tool Kit is required.Completed Sheet metal A/C Tech school or equivalent Training.Must be able to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.Ability to effectively communicate (verbal & written) aircraft status.Demonstrated ability to train other employees is preferred.High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language in accordance with Title 14 CFR Part 65.Job Type:Full-time, ContractShift Schedule: 12-hour shift | 3 day on / 4 days off | 4 days on / 3 days offShift Hours: 6:30 till 7:00 (day or night) Must be willing to work either shift.Overtime is available.Essential Job Functions:Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task.Must be computer proficient.Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.Work Environment: Ability to work in confined spaces.
