Job Description

Minimum Experience: 2 years; 1st Timers are accepted Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Patients are admitted to the Admit Unit via Direct Admission from associated clinics, physicians' offices, prompt cares or other hospitals ∨ via an emergency room admission. Patient population consists of intermediate level (monitoring interventions no more frequent than 1 hour) and medical surgical patients. Such diagnoses included are dysrhythmias, CHF, acute onset stroke or stroke symptoms not requiring TPA or critical care, Acute Coronary Syndrome &/or Myocardial Ischemia, etc. Fast paced environment with focus on patient throughput while providing patient centered care. Great teamwork dynamic. All patients are on hardwire telemetry and self-monitored by the RN. Ratio / Census: 1:4 Ratio; 12 Beds Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis Scrub Color: Navy Blue RTO: MAX 7 days Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere Floating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed Call Requirements: Not specified Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays are listed below: Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving/Black Friday Christmas Eve/Christmas Day New Years Eve/New Years Day Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. *Aya Offer* Aya Offer Information: Once candidate has signed and confirmation has been sent, manager has 48 hours to review the profile/confirmation and determine if unit/schedule/expertise fit. *Aya Offer only available if clinical pass within RTO guidelines + meets specific facility requirements*.
