Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide expert nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical protocols in a fast-paced maternity environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and interventions per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Conduct fetal monitoring and interpret results to inform care decisions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and revise individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on labor process, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and clinical interventions.

Qualifications:

• Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in labor and delivery.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring.
• Ability to work night shifts (19:00-07:00) and adapt to floating as needed.
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
