Sr. Embedded Software Test Engineer

Manager Notes:
Analyze software and system requirements and create detailed test cases, test plans, and test protocols.
Perform 7080% manual testing of embedded systems, with the remaining testing focused on automation.
Conduct both manual and automated testing of embedded systems, including hardware, software, and firmware (HW/SW/FW).
Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using C%2B%2B and C#.
Perform hardware and software integration testing to validate system functionality and performance.
Troubleshoot software and embedded system defects, perform root cause analysis, and verify corrective actions and solutions.
Identify, reproduce, and resolve bugs in collaboration with software, firmware, and hardware engineering teams.
Document test results, defects, troubleshooting activities, and validation outcomes [Agile, Jira & Jama]
Collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams, including teams in India and the Asia-Pacific region.
Support continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and documentation.
Ensure comprehensive testing and validation of embedded systems throughout the product development lifecycle.

Required Skills:
Experience testing embedded systems with a strong understanding of both hardware and software/firmware.
Approximately 2%2B years of experience performing manual and automated testing of embedded systems, particularly HW/SW/FW products.
25 years of experience troubleshooting defects, conducting root cause analysis, and validating resolutions.
Experience with integration testing of embedded systems.
Experience developing or working with test automation frameworks using C%2B%2B and/or C#.
Strong experience creating test cases, test plans, test protocols, and testing documentation.
Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into comprehensive testing strategies.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and globally distributed engineering teams.
Experience with Linux operating systems is highly desirable.

Nice to Have:
Experience working in the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry [Experience in other industries will also be considered.]
Working knowledge of C%2B%2B and C#.
Experience using command-line tools for testing, troubleshooting, and system validation.
Experience working with FDA-regulated products.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance processes, including 510(k) submissions.
Familiarity with quality and validation processes within regulated product development environments.
