Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: One-year recent acute care RN experience License: Current RN license in state of practice Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Description: Located in a serene area, this facility has been serving the community for many years. Comprising a 122-bed acute care facility, our team provides exceptional care in various medical fields. Locals enjoy weekly farmers markets, farm-to-fork dining, and beautiful landscapes for outdoor activities. This position involves performing the professional functions of a Registered Nurse, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. You will coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care. Responsible for meeting established standards of nursing practice, promoting cooperation among the healthcare team is essential. Actively participate in committees and encourage actions that promote good guest relations with patients, families, and co-workers. Listen, observe, act, and follow through to completion. Maintain current professional licenses and certifications as required. Treat every co-worker as a professional and support each other in a collaborative environment. Demonstrate knowledge of and adhere to all applicable professional and regulatory practice acts and facility policies. Attend mandatory training programs as required. Complete work within allotted time and demonstrate reliability. Utilize appropriate equipment skillfully, recognizing its capabilities and limitations. Use effective communication strategies with patients, families, and team members. Improve quality of care through continuing education and recognize the individuality of each patient. Maintain professionalism in dress and actions, demonstrating positive body language and eye contact. Ensure confidentiality of all hospital-related matters. Embrace new approaches to problem-solving and support change initiatives. Protect hospital resources through careful use of supplies and equipment. Practice safety related standards and adhere to infection control principles. Report safety hazards, accidents, and injuries promptly. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
