We are seeking an experienced, organized, and customer-focused Trucking Dispatcher to join our team.

Position Summary

The aggregate and dirt hauling Trucking Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating company drivers, owner-operators, and brokerage partners while providing exceptional service to key clients. In addition to dispatch operations, this role will work closely with management and accounting teams to review payables and receivables, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and proper payment processing. The ideal candidate is highly organized and customer-focused.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch and coordinate company drivers and owner-operators efficiently.
• Manage daily communication with drivers working
• Coordinate freight with brokers, pits, and customers.
• Monitor delivery status and provide timely updates to clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and high-value customers.
• Optimize routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and profitability.
• Resolve transportation issues, delays, and service concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Track driver availability, equipment status, and load assignments.
• Work closely with management to meet service and performance goals.
• Work closely with the accounting and management teams to review and verify accounts payable and accounts receivable related to transportation operations.
• Confirm driver settlements, carrier payments, broker invoices, and customer billing accuracy.
• Monitor load profitability and assist in resolving billing discrepancies.
• Ensure all delivery documentation, rate confirmations, and invoices are submitted and processed promptly.
• Coordinate with customers, brokers, and internal departments to facilitate timely collections and payments.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, load charges, and payment status.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of trucking dispatch
• Knowledge of trucking operations and transportation regulations.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; logistics or transportation experience preferred.
• Understanding of transportation billing, invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes
• Experience reviewing aggregate and dirt hauling invoices and rate confirmations
• Ability to work collaboratively with accounting personnel to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

  Preferred Skills

• Experience managing dedicated aggregate and dirt hauling accounts.
• Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT compliance requirements.
• Ability to negotiate with brokers and customers.
• Experience with route planning and load optimization.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
