Job Description
Join Our Dynamic Cath Lab Team!

Job Description:

- Type of Patients: Work with an exciting variety of patients, including those undergoing:
- Cardiac catheterizations
- Peripheral interventions
- TAVR procedures
- Device placements

- Shift Details:
- Days: 7AM to 3:30PM
- Start Date: ASAP
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, every third or fourth weekend
- On-Call Requirement: Yes, selected in collaboration with staff

- Nurse/Patient Ratio: Experience a supportive environment with a ratio of:
- 1 patient to 4 staff members (2 nurses and 2 techs)

- Technology: Utilize the cutting-edge Epic electronic medical record system

- Dress Code: Wear your galaxy blue scrubs with pride!

Summary:
- As a competent Nurse, you'll practice independently within a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects.
- You will provide both routine and complex care, focusing on long-term goals and plans.
- Develop your skills to manage clinical contingencies effectively.
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers.

Responsibilities:
- Meet expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Follow ANA Scope and Standards of Practice to deliver nursing care through:
- Assessment
- Diagnosis
- Planning
- Intervention
- Evaluation

- Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, family members, and caregivers.

Job Requirements:

- Education/Skills:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

- Experience:
- 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
- New graduates welcome!

- Licenses/Certifications:
- BLS certification via AHA required
- ACLS certification via AHA required
- RN License in state of employment or compact

Position Requirements:
- Attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
- Precepting by a designated trained staff member to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Complete all annual competency verification requirements.

Work Schedule:
- Full Time: 7AM - 3:30PM
