Job Details Setting: Progressive Care Unit / Oncology Telemetry Location: Columbus, OH 43210 Shift: 12-hour nights Hours per Week: 36 Duration: 16 weeks Start Date: 11/02/2026 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Patient Population: Adult oncology and progressive care patients Unit Size: 36 beds Float Requirement: May float to equivalent or lower-acuity oncology or medical-surgical units Orientation: 72 hours Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience At least 1 year of recent PCU experience required Current experience in acute care is strongly preferred Experience with high-acuity Progressive Care Unit patients Active RN license in hand at time of submission Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Epic charting experience required Strong skills in telemetry nursing and progressive care Ability to work with oncology-related patient populations is preferred Background in ICU or PCU settings is a plus Must be comfortable with floating as needed Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate care to adult patients with complex medical and oncology-related conditions Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient status Manage PCU-level assignments with a focus on infection prevention and fall reduction Administer medications and treatments in accordance with unit protocols Support patients requiring oxygen therapy, non-invasive ventilation, and advanced respiratory monitoring Care for patients with central lines, PICCs, ports, drains, and feeding tubes as needed Collaborate with rapid response, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary partners Utilize unit equipment such as telemetry monitors, pumps, bladder scanners, and specialty beds Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow all clinical standards and safety practices Deliver excellent patient-centered care while adapting to the needs of a fast-paced progressive care unit Apply now for this Columbus, Ohio travel RN assignment and bring your PCU and telemetry nursing expertise to a dynamic oncology-focused team.
