Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Full-Time

Cheshire, CT
$33-36/hour

Post Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation department. This role offers the opportunity to help residents regain mobility, improve function, and achieve their rehabilitation goals in a supportive skilled nursing environment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, and mobility interventions
• Support individualized treatment plans focused on improving safety and functional independence
• Monitor resident participation and communicate progress to the supervising PT
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team members to support resident care
• Complete accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications:

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Skilled nursing experience preferred but not required
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
