CRITICAL CARE MEDICINE INTENSIVIST (ICU)

Summary Holds primary board certification (or eligibility for certification) by either the American Board of Anesthesiology, the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Surgery, or the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and has completed an ACGME-approved fellowship in Critical Care Medicine. The incumbent is expected to lead the multidisciplinary critical care team, coordinate care among primary services and consultants, and provide patient care as a member of the Moffitt Medical Group. Responsibilities Lead the multidisciplinary critical care team and coordinate care among primary services and consultants. Assess, treat, and support patients with one or more vital organ system failures to prevent further life‑threatening deterioration. Perform resuscitation for patients with acute cardiac, respiratory, or neurologic emergencies. Execute critical care procedures including intubation, difficult airway management, central and arterial line placement, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, ultrasonography, and diagnostic/therapeutic bronchoscopy. Supervise a 16‑bed Surgical ICU as a 100% ICU intensivist. Contribute to the academic medical enterprise by participating in clinical research and education. Qualifications Active Florida MD/DO license or eligibility for one. Board‑eligible or board‑certified in critical care medicine. Completed an ACGME‑approved fellowship in Critical Care Medicine. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Salary Range $389,792.00 - $483,511.60 (annual base pay range; actual compensation may vary based on location and experience) Benefits Base salary plus yearly incentive bonus. Relocation allowance.
