We provide cancer care, cardiology, neurosciences, women’s services, emergency medicine, a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. Our Women’s Robotic Surgery program is a Center of Excellence accredited by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC). Texas Health Dallas is a Joint Commission‑certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level I Trauma Center, and Comprehensive Heart Attack Center. Job Description Operations: Plan, organize, and delegate activities for safe, efficient, and effective operation of the unit; collaborate with hospital departments and leadership; provide resources and guidance to support evidence‑based practice; facilitate activities that prepare the unit, environment, and staff to meet credentialing requirements; identify key drivers in the throughput process and develop solutions to barriers. Quality Patient Care Outcomes: Plan and manage patient care processes to improve performance; facilitate delivery of quality patient care; ensure documentation meets hospital and credentialing standards, policies, and guidelines; demonstrate a supportive role in the change process. Human Resources: Staff based on patient care needs; manage personnel functions including performance reviews and corrective action; promote professional growth and development of all employees; support diversity and inclusion; recognize and reward individual and team accomplishments; promote staff retention; facilitate new staff orientation; support shared decision‑making through the unit‑based council. Customer Satisfaction: Incorporate customer needs and expectations into daily operations and business planning; promote team‑building strategies and principles of group process in interaction with staff. Budget: Prepare operating and capital budgets; manage approved budgets effectively and adjust strategies as needed to meet budget expectations; identify and evaluate patient care requirements and outcomes based upon patient acuity, system, and budgetary guidelines. Professional Accountability: Participate in professional organizations; serve on hospital/department/system committees; stay current with professional activities; address ethical and legal concerns; educate staff on chain of command; serve as a role model/mentor; adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics; comply with hospital policies and the Nurse Practice Act; participate in community activities; handle peer review referrals; complete reports promptly; utilize development resources. Promote professional growth, diversity, inclusion, and staff retention. Incorporate customer expectations into operations and planning. Prepare and manage operating and capital budgets. Participate in professional organizations and hospital committees. Address ethical and legal concerns and serve as a role model. Maintain compliance with the ANA Code of Ethics and local regulations. Qualifications 3 years experience as a registered nurse with prior charge nurse or similar leadership role. Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring staff is highly preferred. Education •Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required License and Certifications Registered Nurse (RN) required upon hire. Skills Knowledge of industry standards, organization, theory, principles, and research processes. Quality improvement and change management techniques. Financial analysis, budget process, and planning. Accreditation and regulatory standards. Strategic planning principles and ability to assess nursing care requirements based on scope of practice and regulatory standards. Why Texas Health?
