We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Hematologic Malignancies team! This position is a unique opportunity to join a state-of-the-art facility with a warm, family feeling. The Boise St. Luke's Cancer Institute (SLCI) is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to cancer patients, offering a spectrum of services from early detection to survivorship support. Within SLCI, the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program is a beacon of comprehensive care and cellular therapy for individuals battling leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic disorders, and other blood cancers. Distinctively, Boise SLCI hosts Idaho's sole BMT and Hematologic Malignancies Program, ensuring patients access to the most cutting-edge therapies in their community. What You Can Expect Full-time (0.9 FTE); day shift Schedule: 4 days a week x 9-hour shifts No nights, weekends, or St. Luke's observed holidays Sign-on bonus eligible for new hires! A dual-role position, splitting time between Triage and supporting the APPs as a Primary Nurse Primary Nursing: Evaluate patients and assist the APP with patient care, procedures, and care coordination Collaborate and work closely with an interdisciplinary team of providers, navigators, pharmacists, patient financial advocates, and other disciplines in order to provide excellent patient care Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding cancer treatments and management Assist with patient assessments, including vital signs and lab results, to develop and implement care plans Triage: Utilize strong critical thinking and assessment skills to triage calls and evaluate patients of all ages undergoing treatment Promote a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness while integrating technical skills, scientific knowledge, and a caring attitude both in the clinic and through the triage process to aid those living with cancer and their families Qualifications Education: Nursing Degree Experience: One (1) + years’ RN experience Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross Preferred: OCN certification, BMTCN certification, Oncology experience, and/or EPIC experience What's In It For You At St. Luke's, caring for people in the communities we serve is our mission – and this includes our own SLHS team.
