Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a variety of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and production machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, including sensors, relays, VFDs, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Conduct equipment inspections and identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Perform basic welding, fabrication, and machining work as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage facility maintenance projects, including building repairs and improvements.
• Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and company quality standards.

Essential Skills

• Industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to operate CNC, Laser, Press-Brake, and other machine equipment.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Maintenance technician skills.
• Repair skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with sheet metal production.

Work Environment

Work on the 1st shift, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Thursday, with Fridays dedicated to maintenance and repairs. The plant experiences seasonal temperature variations, with hot and humid conditions during the summer and cold conditions near open overhead doors in the winter.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
