Welder Night Shift

FAST Global Solutions is seeking a welder for our night shift in Auburn, NE. The night shift schedule is from 4:30 pm to 3:00 am, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Friday as needed. There is a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a night shift differential of $2.50 per hour.

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Reads and interprets blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements.
• Connects cables from welding unit to obtain amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse, as specified by engineer.
• Manually guides electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead.
• Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Repairs broken or cracked parts and fills holes.
• Positions and clamps workpieces together or assembles them in jig or fixtures.
• Selects torch, torch tip, filler rod, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.
• Tacks assemblies together.
• Chips off excess weld, slag, and spatter.
• Cleans or de-greases parts.
• Moves parts in and moves finished product out of welding area.

Job requirements:

• A qualified candidate will have a high school diploma, GED, or at least 1-3 months related experience.
• Must have basic language and math skills and reasoning ability.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics D365 is preferred.
• Must be able to stand continuously for a 10 hour shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Vision with depth perception is required.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and levels of humidity.
• Personal protective equipment will be provided by FAST and must be worn in the required areas.
