Role Description The Architectural & Design (A&D) Sales Representative is a full-time position based in the Greater New Orleans Region. We’re looking for an A&D Sales Representative to build and grow relationships with architects, MEP engineers, interior designers, distributors, and owners across our territory. You’ll be the go-to resource for getting our manufacturers’ products specified early in the design process, and you’ll follow those projects through bid and award with our sales team, distributors, and contractors. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships, providing technical product information, presenting solutions that align with project specifications, and coordinating product approvals and listings. The representative will prepare proposals, support integration of products into design documents, follow up on project opportunities, and collaborate with internal and manufacturer teams to ensure customer satisfaction. This role also involves attending industry events, conducting product trainings, and maintaining accurate records of activities and opportunities in CRM tools.

What You’ll Do

\n

\n
• Call on architecture, engineering, and interior design firms to promote and specify our product lines
\n
• Present AIA-accredited continuing education (CEU) and lunch-and-learn programs
\n
• Support specifiers with product selection, submittals, spec sections, and technical questions
\n
• Identify and track projects from early design through bid, award, and construction
\n
• Partner with BBWC’s outside sales team and distributor partners to convert specifications into orders
\n
• Keep accurate project and contact records in our CRM
\n
• Represent BBWC at industry events, trade shows, and association meetings (AIA, ASPE, IIDA, CSI)

What We’re Looking For

\n

\n
• Experience in A&D, specification, or technical sales, ideally in plumbing, MEP, or building products
\n
• Ability to read construction documents and understand specifications
\n
• Confidence presenting to design professionals in small and large groups
\n
• Strong organizational skills and follow-through
\n
• Ability to work independently, manage a territory, and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
\n
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Louisiana and Mississippi
\n
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, business, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
\n
• Bonus points: an existing network with design firms in our territory, plumbing or waterworks product knowledge, CSI certification (CDT)
