Lead Java Engineer

We’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help drive technical excellence across a suite of modern, web-based products. This is a high-impact role where you’ll play a key part in shaping architecture, building scalable systems, and mentoring engineers while working in a fast-paced, product-focused environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands‑on with code while also influencing technical direction and helping teams level up. What You’ll Do: Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications Drive architectural decisions focused on scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability Write clean, efficient, and well‑tested code following best practices Lead code reviews and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback Mentor engineers and help elevate overall team performance Partner cross‑functionally with Product, QA, and other teams to deliver features end‑to‑end Contribute to technical planning, estimation, and system design discussions Help improve development processes, tooling, and overall engineering standards Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across development and production environments What We’re Looking For: 7+ years of software engineering experience in a product or SaaS environment Solid experience building and operating applications in AWS or similar cloud environments Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to a strong engineering culture Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team Strong communication skills and a problem‑solving mindset Nice to Have: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices Exposure to high-scale, data-heavy, or transaction-heavy systems Familiarity with security, compliance, or highly regulated environments What’s in It for You: Competitive base salary + strong growth potential Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Additional benefits including life, disability, and wellness support Fully remote flexibility Unlimited PTO and a strong focus on work/life balance #J-18808-Ljbffr Hirewell
