Respiratory Therapist (Relocation Assistance Available)

Overview Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Relocation Assistance available for candidates relocating from outside Illinois. Salary Range: $1,332 – $1,792.80 per week (base gross) on a 36‑hour (3x12‑hour) schedule; equivalent to $37.00 – $49.80 per hour. Department: Cardiopulmonary / Respiratory Therapy. Job Type: Full‑time, non‑exempt. Location: Chicago Metro Area, Illinois. Bonus: Up to $15,000 upfront sign‑on bonus available for qualified candidates. Responsibilities Administer respiratory therapy treatments (oxygen, aerosol, airway management) Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high‑flow oxygen systems Perform pulmonary diagnostics (ABGs, PFTs) Implement patient‑specific respiratory care plans Document care in the EMR Respond to code blue and rapid response events Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes May serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts Qualifications State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required Current BCLS (AHA) certificate on hire and ongoing maintenance Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required 2 years experience as an RCP preferred ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and ongoing maintenance NRP certificate preferred PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and ongoing maintenance Associate degree or Bachelor of Science preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required Compensation and Benefits Competitive compensation includes base wage plus shift differential, and a comprehensive benefits package.
