Sierra Circuit serves all industries including aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, and telecommunications, building PCBs to the highest industry standards, and keeping innovation at the forefront of everything we do.The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of routine and emergency maintenance to all Sierra Circuits, Inc. facilities and equipment as directed by the Maintenance & Facilities Manager.Responsibilities:Conduct periodic inspections on assigned equipment according to Preventive Maintenance Schedule (ISO Form 11-01-01-B).Perform preventative maintenance work on equipment and machineries to prevent breakdowns, costly repairs, and the development of unsafe conditions.Promptly respond to and complete job requisitions according to request forms and submit to Maintenance.Use proper tools and techniques to perform the required tasks in a professional and safe manner.Research, order, and prepare spare parts needed with the most cost-effective solution.Report any potential problems to the Maintenance Manager.Perform daily housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.Interact professionally and diplomatically with managers, co-workers, and vendors.Be available for emergency maintenance.May be required to operate a forklift.Cleans shop and parts area at the end of every shiftOther duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma, or equivalent requiredMinimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as industrial equipment and machinery.Be able to understand PLC ladder logicAbility to work with voltage from (5V DC to 480V AC)Ability to assemble and align gears, bearings, and shaftsAbility to inspect equipment for defectsAbility to install and maintain various pipe systemsExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issuesAbility to read and interpret technical diagrams and manualsStrong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environmentPossess basic computer skills to complete work orders and other computer work as directedExperience with preventive maintenance programs (CMMS)High attention to detail and strong commitment to qualityUnderstanding of safety and environmental regulationsAbility to lift and work in physically demanding conditionsAbility to operate a forklift if neededFollow and adhere to lock-out/tag-out procedures at all timesCleans shop and parts area at the end of every shiftPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must frequently stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
