Utilizing the Nordson Business System(NBS Next)and cellular manufacturing principles, this role drives efficiency, flow, and capacity to exceed customer expectations. This role drives engagement in the organization’s safety vision—Journey to Zero, the Production Manager quickly addresses issues, implements countermeasures, and fosters a high-performance, customer-focused team culture.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversees daily operations of the productionteam, facility teamsand planner,promoting a strong safety culture through theJourney to Zeroprogram.Manages labor and resources to meet daily production goals and quality standards while controlling costs.Demonstrates strong talent management ability, hires, coaches, and develops team members to build engagement and high-performing teams.Promotes continuous improvementcultureby holding regular team meetings to address challenges and implement solutions.Plans and implements improvement projects to boost customer satisfaction,manufacturingefficiency, and profitability.Supports financial goals by working with direct reports and the Operations Director on budgeting, capital planning, cost analysis opportunities, and manufacturing productivity for assigned product lines.Enhances customer satisfaction through strong collaboration with support functions and customer service. Able to quickly identify and correct flow issues withinresponsiblemanufacturing site. Leading continuous improvement projects resulting in through-put improvements, shorter lead times, cost reductions and productivity gains across all assembly product lines.Encouragesownermindsetaccountability by enforcing standardized workandsafety compliance.Builds a positive, motivated team culture through clear and purposeful leadership.Maintains a results-driven focus on building and sustaining high-performance teams.Brings energy and passion to leading a customer-focused manufacturing environment.Anticipates problems and proactively leads the team to solve them collaboratively. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology, Business, Engineering orotherrelated field required.Minimum of5-7years of professional experience in a manufacturing or operations leadership role is requiredProficiency in all MS Office applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required. Experience with an ERP platform(SAP)strongly preferred. Experience with injection moldingautomated assembly equipment and manual product assemblyis preferred.Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing or ISO Certified company preferredPreferred Skills and AbilitiesRemains calm under pressure; Strong decision-making skills in response to high pressure situations.Proven change agent: skill with enabling change, strong influencing abilities particularly with frontline teams.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels of theorganization.Ability to establish and maintain high level relationships with suppliers.Proven ability to implement process management, value stream execution, and continuous improvement activities.Strong verbal and written communications skills.
