Assignment Details

  • Specialty: PACU / Surgical Recovery

  • Shift: Evenings

  • Schedule: 4×10s

  • Shift Length: 10 hours

  • Hours: 40 hours/week

  • Pay: $60/hour

  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,400/week

  • Scheduling: Block scheduling

  • Call: Required – Weekdays, 9:00 PM–7:00 AM

  • Weekend Coverage: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM

  • Float: No

PACU / Unit Details

  • Pre-Op: 7 beds

  • PACU: 8 beds

  • Holding: 3 beds

  • Staffing Ratio: 2:1

  • Medication System: Pyxis

  • Documentation System: Cerner

  • Communication: SBAR

  • IV team, lift team, pharmacy, phlebotomy and transportation services available during operational hours

  • Unit Secretary: 6:00 AM–6:30 PM

Important Clinical Requirements

  • EPIC experience is required

  • PACU/Surgical Recovery experience required

  • California RN license required

  • BLS required

  • ACLS required

  • PALS required for PACU/SDS

  • IV Sedation competency required for PACU/SDS

  • Acute-care experience preferred

  • BSN preferred

Note: The requisition specifically requires EPIC experience , while the unit information lists Cerner as the documentation system. Candidates should be prepared to clarify their recent EPIC experience during screening.

Requirements

  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • PACU / Surgical Recovery experience

  • Acute-care hospital experience preferred

  • EPIC experience required

  • BLS certification

  • ACLS certification

  • PALS certification

  • IV Sedation experience/competency

  • Nursing degree from an accredited program

  • Ability to work 4×10-hour evening shifts

  • Availability for required weekday overnight call
