• Seeking a board certified nurse practitioner or physician assistant with post-training critical care experience
• Active Illinois license required at time of presentation
• IMLC not accepted
• Join a collaborative ICU team providing care across Neuro, Cardiac, and Medical ICU step-down units
• High-acuity environment with support from fellows, residents, and attending physicians
• Manage approximately 10-15 patients per shift
• Develop and implement treatment plans for critically ill patients
• Perform bedside procedures including central line and arterial line placement
• Manage post-operative cardiovascular surgery patients
• Provide care for neurocritical care patients, including subdural hemorrhage and EVD patients
• Participate in the management of patients requiring VADs, VA ECMO, and heart transplant support
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Three APPs provide coverage across Neuro, Cardiac, and Medical ICU step-down units
• Pulmonary patients managed in a step-down setting with support from an on-site Pulmonary Fellow
• Trauma and NICU residents are on-site
• Attending physicians available for consultation and support
• Prior critical care APP experience required
• Experience with neurocritical care, cardiovascular critical care, VADs, ECMO, and transplant patients preferred
• Must be comfortable working independently in a high-acuity environment
• Night shifts only
• Monday-Sunday availability
• Schedule: 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
• Minimum of three consecutive shifts required
• Providers must have one day off after working six consecutive days
• EMR: Epic
