Phlebotomist - 8H Days - 1YR Shift Details: Monday - Friday Days 7:30am - 4:30pm ***21-week assignment or 13 Week Assignment No Float or Call Required Years of Experience: 1 Year Patient Age Group: Infants Pediatrics Adolescents Adults Geriatrics Electronic Documentation Preferred: EPIC Required Skills: Clinic Physician office CLSI recommended Order of blood draws Gray top (Fluoride, Potassium Oxalate) Green Top (Heparin, Ammonia) Instruct patient on proper collection and preservation for laboratory specimen Light blue top tubes (coagulation) Patient positioning Perform point of care testing Post venipuncture site care Process specimens for laboratory (centrifuge, aliquot, storage) Purple top (EDTA) Red top tubes (plain) Report results and critical values for point of care procedures Understand Mode of action of additives/anticoagulants in blood collection tubes.
