Pay Range
Local Pay: $48.00-$58.00/hour
Pay is based on years of experience, relevant clinical experience, and project budget considerations.
Travel Pay Package (Full-Time Only):
Taxable Hourly Rate: $22.00-$27.00/hour (based on experience)
Weekly Housing Stipend: $952
Weekly Meals & Incidentals Stipend: $602
Total Weekly Gross: $2,434-$2,634
Travel packages are available only for full-time candidates residing more than 50 miles from the facility.
Position Details
Full-time onsite contract opportunity with potential for long-term placement.
Part-time candidates will also be considered for local opportunities only, with flexible scheduling options of approximately 2-3 shifts per week based on candidate availability and facility needs.
Start date is anticipated approximately 2 weeks from offer.
Schedule
Full-Time: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Part-Time (Local Candidates Only): Approximately 2-3 shifts per week based on candidate preference and facility needs.
About the Facility
This opportunity is located at a residential habilitation center in Buckley, Washington, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Residents receive comprehensive services through an interdisciplinary team that includes nursing, medical providers, therapists, dietitians, and support staff.
Required Qualifications
Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) or Certified Dietitian (CD)
Master's degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or related field
Eligible to practice in Washington State
Strong combination of clinical nutrition and food service experience
Preferred Qualifications
Washington Certified Dietitian credential
Experience in long-term care, residential care, rehabilitation, developmental disabilities, or behavioral health settings
Experience working within interdisciplinary care teams
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Nutrition
Perform nutrition assessments, nutrition education, and medical nutrition therapy for residents
Develop, implement, and document individualized nutrition care plans
Evaluate dietary needs and provide recommendations for food textures and liquid consistencies
Support residents with specialized dietary requirements
Monitor resident progress and nutritional outcomes through ongoing assessments
Complete approximately 7-10 nutrition assessments per month
Recommend dietary supplements and ensure availability of supplements and feeding formulas
Apply evidence-based nutrition practices and incorporate current research findings into nutritional therapy programs
Develop menus and nutritional modifications for residents requiring specialized diets
Quality Assurance & Documentation
Conduct weekly quality assurance reviews, including tray evaluations and dietary audits
Review resident records to ensure compliance with nutritional requirements and regulatory standards
Monitor dietary programs and resident medical records for ongoing nutritional effectiveness
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nutrition services and care plans
Food Service & Operations
Print and review meal tickets for accuracy
Update menus and dietary information within food service systems
Coordinate closely with kitchen staff, vendors, and support personnel
Conduct tray audits and dietary compliance reviews
Monitor dietary programs and ensure compliance with nutrition standards
Evaluate, develop, and support food service computer systems
Work collaboratively with food service staff to optimize meal service and dietary operations
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Consult regularly with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members
Participate in care planning and treatment discussions
Provide nutrition-related recommendations to support resident health outcomes
Resident Population
Approximately 15-16 residents with diabetes
Residents may require specialized diets and texture-modified meal plans
Frequent interaction with residents, care teams, and food service staff

The Dietician coordinates all phases of nutrition care including nutrition assessment, care planning, monitoring, education and counseling of patients and outpatients in a variety of settings. The Dietician contributes to the health and wellness through nutrition to individuals, families and communities.
Minimum Requirements:
Baccalaureate degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or comparable major preferred and or per state requirements
Registered dietitian (RD) licensure or certificate required
Two years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
