Orthopedic Surgeon – Trauma & Sports Medicine Organization: Lahey Clinic (Beth Israel Lahey Health) Location: Burlington & Peabody, MA (Just North of Boston) Base Salary: $425,000 – $500,000 / year Facility: 337-Bed Tertiary Care Facility | Level I Trauma Center Opportunity Overview Join Lahey Clinic's physician-led, multi-disciplinary team of 500+ providers. We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon dual-focused or fellowship-trained in Orthopedic Trauma and Sports Medicine. This role combines high-complexity acute trauma coverage at a Level I Trauma Center with a robust elective sports medicine practice. Key Responsibilities Surgical & Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care for acute trauma, complex fractures, joint injuries, soft tissue reconstruction, and sports injuries. Level I Trauma Call: Participate in the trauma call rotation for rapid evaluation, resuscitation, and operative management of polytrauma. Outpatient Practice: Maintain a sports medicine and post-trauma follow-up clinic across designated LHMC ambulatory sites. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with Emergency Medicine, Trauma Surgery, Radiology, Physical Therapy, and APPs. Quality & Academics: Contribute to quality initiatives, clinical research, and the training of residents, fellows, and advanced practice clinicians. Qualifications & Requirements Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Residency: Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency. Fellowship: Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma, Sports Medicine, or dual fellowship is strongly preferred. Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible by the ABOS. Licensure: Unrestricted Massachusetts Medical License and Federal/State DEA (or eligible prior to start date). Skills: Demonstrated surgical excellence in complex fracture management and advanced arthroscopic/sports procedures. Why Join Lahey Clinic?
