Job Opportunity – Medical Surgical Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Location: Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio; every other weekend required; 38-bed unit with average daily census of 33 patients

Highlights:

• Medical Surgical unit with remote telemetry monitoring
• Epic EMR system required; also utilizes Pyxis and SBAR protocols
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract; blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4-12)
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed; no call requirements

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state license accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in peripheral line care/management, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, and rapid response/code team protocols
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Full compliance required prior to start date; all documents due Tuesday before orientation
