Postgres DBA

Job Description We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure DBA with over 5 years of experience supporting PostgreSQL in an enterprise environment. This role is focused on maintaining and optimizing database systems, not on development or coding. Responsibilities Create and manage database objects such as triggers and indexes. Monitor database performance and ensure optimal operation. Identify and resolve potential issues proactively. Maintain backups and execute disaster recovery procedures. Monitor and enforce database security to prevent unauthorized access. Schedule and perform regular server maintenance. Maintain and update database schema and manage database availability. Perform performance tuning and provide best practice guidance to development teams. Resolve production data issues and manage tablespace and role management. Develop automation technologies to streamline data loading processes. Develop and maintain relational databases, ensuring data integrity. Manage user access and permissions effectively. Utilize utilities like pg_ctl and psql for database maintenance. Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience supporting PostgreSQL in large-scale environments (10+TB databases). Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL management tools and operating on Red Hat Linux for optimal performance. Experience with other database technologies such as MSSQL and MySQL is a significant plus.
