Facility:

This Level 2 trauma facility is known for its comprehensive cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery programs. The facility features high-acuity cardiac services, robotic thoracic surgeries, and advanced heart failure treatments including LVAD, ECMO, and Impella support devices. The collaborative team environment includes dedicated surgical teams and specialized nursing support.

Opportunity: Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

Job Details:

• Primarily focused on rounding and medical management, especially on weekends
• Daily rounding on all inpatients (ICU, stepdown), new consults, and discharging patients
• Endoscopic vein harvesting and training new APPs on EVH procedures
• First assist on surgical cases after learning surgeon preferences
• Weekday coverage from 6:30am-4:30pm with on-call responsibilities
• Weekend rounding on inpatients with call coverage
• Take ICU call 1-2 nights per week (5:00pm-7:00am)
• Weekend call from Saturday 7:00am through Monday 6:30am
• Support for various specialties including cardiac surgeries, thoracic procedures, vascular surgeries, and heart failure treatments
• Manage approximately 8-10 inpatient encounters per shift

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Paid travel and lodging available.
