Heavy Fabrication Welder — SAW/MIG/Stick

Location: Sharonville, OH

Type: Night Shift | Full-time | Direct Hire

What you will do

• Stage and verify parts, tooling, and work area readiness before welding.
• Run submerged arc, MIG, and Stick processes; operate automatic welders and positioners.
• Perform fit-up using hand tools, clamps, jigs, fixtures, and other workholding methods.
• Interpret drawings, work instructions, and AWS symbols; follow approved procedures.
• Measure work to blueprint requirements, including machining stock allowances.
• Apply and control required preheat and post-heat for components.
• Keep a 5S-aligned, safe, and organized workstation.
• Engage in quality and maintenance problem solving; assist with 5-Why analysis.

What you bring

• Proven SAW experience in industrial or heavy-fabrication environments.
• Welder certification or ability to qualify and maintain certifications.
• Blueprint, fabrication drawing, weld instruction, and AWS symbol fluency.
• Hands-on experience with fit-up tools: clamps, jigs, fixtures, positioners, and hand tools.
• Accurate part measurement and planning for downstream machining.
• Commitment to safe, reliable performance on the designated night shift.
• 2+ years of industrial welding/fabrication or equivalent hands-on experience.
• MIG and Stick experience for multi-component assemblies and fit-up welds.
• Experience managing preheat/post-heat or following heat-treatment instructions.
• Exposure to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems.
• Practice with 5S, root-cause analysis, and minimizing nonconformances.
• Comfort with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or similar ERP).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical demands: lift/move 50+ lbs; reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel; strong hand/eye coordination; stand for long durations.
• Clear communication skills.
