Supervisor Warehousing - D Shift - Forest, MS

Job Overview The position directly supervises Warehouse Department employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, managing overtime, and appraising performance. The supervisor disciplines employees, addresses complaints, resolves problems, and maintains accurate inventory records both for receiving from the floor and from outside vendors. Additional duties are housekeeping in the dock area, ensuring product quality and safety processes are followed consistently, promoting a safe work environment and performing other responsibilities as needed. The employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold, occasionally to vibration, and works in a loud environment. Responsibilities Train employees, plan, assign and direct work. Schedule and manage overtime. Appraise performance. Discipline employees. Address complaints and resolve problems. Keep all aspects of inventory accurate. Manage housekeeping in dock area. Ensure compliance with product quality and safety processes. Promote a safe work environment. Perform other responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 3 years of work experience. Experience: Preferred but not required. Computer skills: Basic computer skills preferred. Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Travel: Some travel may be required for training classes.
