Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CDL A Truck Driver role based in La Porte, IN. The CDL A Truck Driver will safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across assigned routes in the Midwest, following all federal, state, and local regulations. Day-to-day duties include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing and documenting loads, and maintaining accurate logs and delivery records. The driver will communicate regularly with dispatch and customers regarding pickup times, delays, and delivery status, ensuring clear and professional interactions. The role also involves adhering to safety protocols, managing schedules to meet appointment windows, and caring for equipment to reduce downtime and maintain reliability.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and current DOT medical certification.
• Proven experience in regional or local freight hauling, including safe operation of tractors and trailers under varying weather and road conditions.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hours-of-service rules, and standard safety procedures.
• Ability to perform thorough vehicle inspections, basic equipment troubleshooting, and proper load securement.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, customers, and team members in a professional manner.
• Reliable time management skills with the ability to meet tight appointment windows and maintain accurate electronic or paper logs.
• Commitment to safety, professionalism, and respectful conduct with customers, team members, and the public.
• Ability to lift and move freight as required, and to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in Midwest regional lanes or the Chicagoland area is a plus.
• Willingness to comply with company policies, participate in ongoing safety training, and contribute to a supportive, driver-focused culture.

$.70 per mile loaded and empty miles paid per PC miles practical miles.

Average total miles 3,000 miles per week.

Monthly performance bonus of $115

Weekend bonus of $50 if work a saturday, or work a sunday.

PTO 5 days after 30 day probation period.

10 days after 1 year.

15 days after 3 years

30 days at 6 years

PTO is paid flat rate of $250 per day not by the hour.

PTO DAYS Must be used before the end of the calander year.

Detention time after 2 hours.

Stop off pay $12.50 after the first stop.

Passport, twic and hazmat Endorsement is a plus, will open more opportunity for the driver.

Full time and part time positions available, home for your rest or $50 bonus if you reset on the road.

Flexible schedules.

1st 4 days out 3 home - full time

2nd 3 days out 4 home - part time

3rd 5 days out 2 home - full time

4th 6 days out 36 hours at home. - full time

Passport and hazmat positions are 5 to 6 days out per week. Home for reset. These lanes average 3,500 miles per week as they are dedicated lanes 90 percent drop and hook.
