Staff Accountant

Russell Tobin's client is hiring a Staff Accountant in Urbandale, IA

Employment Type: Contract

Location: Onsite - Urbandale, IA 50398

Pay rate: $23-$25/hr

Responsibilities:

• Process billing transactions and apply payments.
• Research checks and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Handle disbursements and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare and review accounting reports and statements.
• Respond professionally to internal and external emails.
• Prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree required.
• 1–3 years of accounting, finance, billing, or related experience.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work across multiple systems and tasks.

Preferred Qualification:

• Previous finance or accounting experience.
• Experience with billing, payment processing, or disbursements.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
