Part-Time Universal Banker (20 Hours) – Vernon Hills Branch Job Req Id: 26966137 Location: Vernon Hills, Illinois, United States Job Type: On-Site/Resident Posted: May 22, 2026 Job Overview The Universal Banker is an entry-level position responsible for assisting in the execution of sales, product, or service activities in coordination with the customer service team. The overall objective of this role is to foster relationships with customers to build loyalty and to help increase sales to individual consumer clients. Responsibilities Assist in basic account opening for existing customers. Provide service delivery to internal and external customers to resolve account service issues. Execute financial transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures. Refer opportunities to segment partners when appropriate. Create sales opportunities from service transactions and resolve customer complaints/issues promptly and effectively. Support sales and service activities within the branch by participating in seminars, micro‑marketing events, promotional campaigns, and product initiatives. Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures, to ensure the safety and security of customers and bank assets. Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, respecting the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets by driving compliance with laws, rules and regulations, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating control issues with transparency. Qualifications 1–3 years of relevant experience. Previous retail banking or similar experience required. Consistent, clear written and verbal communication skills. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Compensation Annual salary range for full‑time positions: $44,170.00 – $57,630.00 (prorated for part‑time). Hourly rate: $21.23 – $27.70. Additional compensation may include discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
