‭ JOB SUMMARY:‬‭ As the first point of contact, Front‬‭ of House Staff play a vital role in providing a positive‬ experience for guests. FOH Staff perform essential functions including taking customer orders, operating the‬ cash register, serving menu items, preparing beverages, bussing dishes, restocking and cleaning tables. This‬ is a non-exempt, hourly position. The primary responsibilities and duties are outlined below. These may vary‬ based on the General Manager’s observations and direction. The Company reserves the right to add or‬ change duties at any time.‬
‭ FRONT OF HOUSE STAFF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES‬
‭ A.‬‭ Service - 80% of Time‬
‭ 1.‬‭ Greets customers‬
‭ 2.‬‭ Presents restaurant menus and helps customers select food and beverages‬
‭ 3.‬‭ Assists customers by providing information, answering questions and resolving complaints‬
‭ 4.‬‭ Takes customer orders in person and over the phone‬
‭ 5.‬‭ Receives and processes payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits‬
‭ 6.‬‭ Issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customer‬
‭ 7.‬‭ Communicates orders with the kitchen staff‬
‭ 8.‬‭ Collaborates with other restaurant servers, kitchen and bakery staff‬
‭ 9.‬‭ Prepares beverages as assigned‬
‭ 10.‬‭ Serves food and beverages to customers‬
‭ 11.‬‭ Counts money in cash drawers at the start of shift, verifies amounts are correct and that‬ adequate change is available‬
‭ 12.‬‭ Calculates total payments received during time period and reconciles this with total sales‬
‭ B.‬‭ Cleaning and Maintenance - 20% of Time‬
‭ 1.‬‭ Busses tables‬
‭ 2.‬‭ Maintains a clean and orderly check out area‬
‭ 3.‬‭ Prepares restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order‬
‭ 4.‬‭ Performs cleaning tasks as assigned following established health and safety procedures‬
‭ 5.‬‭ Keeps supplies consistently stocked, especially customer items at beverage stations and tables‬

‭ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS‬
‭ The FOH team member is constantly required to walk and stand during the workday. The FOH team member‬
‭ is required to use his/her hands to operate the computer and cash register, accept payments, make change,‬
‭ carry and serve food and beverages, bus dishes and clean tables. Lifting, pushing, pulling and/or moving is‬
‭ frequent. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision,‬
‭ peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus. Specific physical abilities and the degree of‬
‭ frequency are:‬
