Regional CDL Driver

Job Description

The Regional CDL Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of refrigerated goods across routes covering Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, upstate New York, and New Jersey. This role involves careful planning of weekend and weekday deliveries, conducting monthly vehicle maintenance checks, and strict adherence to safety regulations to ensure timely and secure transport using refrigerated tractor-trailers.

Responsibilities

Plan routes for regional delivery to optimize time and fuel use
Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
Adhere to all safety and transportation compliance standards
Coordinate delivery schedules and communicate with dispatch
Maintain accurate driving logs and transportation records
Manage fuel consumption and monitor vehicle performance
Perform monthly vehicle maintenance checks
Execute weekend deliveries as scheduled

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience
Valid Class A CDL license
Proven ability to operate commercial vehicles safely
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
Strong route navigation and time management skills
Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
Physical stamina to handle extended periods of driving and vehicle handling
